FOR ONCE

Just you.

Maybe you simply want the pictures. That's reason enough. They can be just for you without having to be anything else.

Perfection isn't the point here.

DON'T WAIT FOR ME

You can keep going.

Your gaze lingers for a moment. You move freely. Some of that movement can stay in the picture. It doesn't always have to be perfectly sharp.

CLEARLY OUT OF FOCUS

The different approaches overlap
and the lines begin to blur

Portrait, boudoir and nude photography each have a different focus. Portraits put more emphasis on gaze and expression. Boudoir can feel closer and more sensual. Nude photography gives the body and light a greater role. The boundaries between them are fluid.

PORTRAIT

A look. An expression.

You can look very different within a few minutes. You don't need to reinvent yourself. Sometimes a change of expression is enough.

BOUDOIR

Closeness and feeling.

Closeness isn't necessarily about how much you reveal. Sometimes the opposite is more interesting. There's no need to resolve all the tension.

NUDE

Skin and light.

Light can reveal as much as it conceals. Move a few centimetres and the whole picture changes.

THERE'S ALWAYS SOMETHING

We leave some things to chance
But not everything

What actually happens on a shoot with me? What do I do and what happens on its own? And what needs to be settled beforehand? What do we plan and what can we leave open for now?

BEFORE YOU DECIDE

What you might
want to know beforehand.

COMFORT AND BOUNDARIES

Do I need to know how to pose?

No. I'll give you clear suggestions and we'll try things together to see what feels right for you.

How much do I have to reveal?

Only as much as you want. Boudoir can be photographed in underwear, partly clothed or with very little on show. We'll talk about your wishes and boundaries beforehand.

Do I need a particular body type?

No. You don't need a particular body type or any experience in front of the camera. I pay attention to the light, angle and posture as we shoot.

What if I feel uncomfortable?

Tell me straight away. Talking to each other matters most. Nothing happens that you don't want and you won't be pressured into any picture.

PLANNING AND THE SHOOT

How long does a boudoir shoot take?

About an hour can be enough for a few pictures or a classic lighting setup. With several sets and changes of lighting, it can take two to three hours.

Where can we shoot?

At Fotowelle Studio in Rostock, at your home, in a hotel or at another suitable location. Any hotel or travel costs are taken into account in your quote.

What should I bring?

That depends on the pictures you have in mind. A selection of underwear is useful for boudoir. We'll talk beforehand about what suits the style you want.

Can I bring someone with me?

Of course. Most people bring someone they trust. It can help you feel more at ease when you arrive.

PICTURES AND PRIVACY

Who will see my pictures?

No one apart from me. Pictures are only published with your explicit permission. Everyone shown on this page has agreed to their pictures being published.

How do I choose my pictures?

You can choose them straight after the shoot. If you'd rather take your time at home, I'll prepare a private online gallery that only you can access.

How will my pictures be edited?

Every picture you choose is edited. I retouch small blemishes lightly so they look natural. We'll discuss scars, birthmarks and other individual features beforehand and agree on what should stay or be changed.

When and how will I get my pictures?

If you choose them at the shoot, they may be ready straight away. Otherwise it takes a few days, up to about two weeks at most. You'll receive high-resolution files through a download link, or prints if you prefer.
